To be released as a volume Rouhani's monographs on Iranian Cinema of the 80's
Omid Rouhani, actor and critic, informed IBNA of preparing his monographs on Iranian cinema of the 90's for publications, with emphasis on the works of filmmakers such as 'Ebrahim Hatamikia' and 'Kianoosh Ayari'. IBNA: These cinematic monographs include analyses of a selection of works by the first generation of filmmakers of 1980s after Islamic Revolution, said Rouhani.
He added that the main body of the work is done and the notes only need final revision.
Rouhani continued "I first watched the films by these filmmakers and then wrote down my persoan analyses of them. At the moment I have readied my writings on 'Ebrahim Hatamikia' and 'Kianoosh Ayari' and they will be released as single monographs."
Rouhani also mentioned his note takings concerning the Post-Revolutionary Theater of Iran and said "The procedure is being slowly moving forward and it is concerned with the works of contemporary theater of Iran since the 90's."
Omid Rouhani is a physician who is mostly known for his film reviews and as an actor. He graduated from Shahid Beheshti University with expertise in anesthesia.
Apart from film reviews and criticism, Rouhani has played in various movies such as "Men at work", "Dayere Zangi", "Colors of Memory", and "A True Story", and successful TV serials like "Physicians Building".
