Nicholas Sparks's "The choice" hits Iranian bookshelves
The Choice, a 2007 novel by acclaimed author Nicholas Sparks has been rendered into Persian by Nahid Kabiri and marketed by Pouyandeh in Iran. IBNA: The story involves Travis Parker and Gabby Holland who set off into an interesting journey of life as neighbors and then lovers. Many conflicts are overcome. Travis Parker is a happy man with wonderful friends, great occupation and an envious life. He thinks his life is already full of joy and happiness. Then Gabby Holland moves in the house next door. And what blooms is an emotional and inspiring love story. It is a story about overcoming barriers to be with loved ones. It is about love, trust, strength, and the choices we can make to show them.
Nicholas Charles Sparks (born December 31, 1965) is an internationally-bestselling American novelist and screenwriter. He has 16 published novels, with themes that include cancer, death and love. Six have been adapted to film, including Message in a Bottle, A Walk to Remember, The Notebook, Nights in Rodanthe, Dear John and The Last Song. Two more are in various stages of development. The Lucky One is expected to be released as a film in early 2012. "Safe Haven" is expected to begin filming in 2011.
Nahid Kabiri has so far rendered books including "Relax: 200 ways to achieve calm in mind and body" by Renata Ash, "The notebook" by Nicholas Sparks and "100 ways to motivate yourself" by Steve Chandler.
Some of Sparks's books including "The last song", "The notebook", "Message in a bottle", "At first sight" and " The guardian" have been translated and released in Iran.
