"Girls at war" holds stories by noted authors
The story collection of "Girls at war", which accommodates fictions by noted writers, has been released in Iran. It holds works by figures including Isabel Allende, Leo Tolstoy, Guy de Maupassant and Garcia Marquez. IBNA: Talking about the book, its translator Nahideh Hashemi said:" I had read the stories in English when I was a college student but I didn’t have time to translate them. Now I am glad I've gathered all my favorite stories in a collection."
The selections were made according to my personal choice, she added.
The book holds an introduction penned by Abbas Pejhman.
Moreover every story starts with a note penned about its writer, writing style and life.
The book is house to stories including "And of Clay Are We Created"(Isabel Allende), "Home" (William Somerset Maugham), "After Twenty Years"(O. Henry) and "The Other Side of the Hedge"(Edward Morgan Forster).
