Secretariat of the 20th Book of the Season announced that 40 works have been chosen for the award; 16 selected and 24 praiseworthy books.

IBNA: The 16 selected books include 13 compilations, two translations and one edited book.
The field of religion, with two selected and four praiseworthy works, was the leading group in the 20th edition.

The 20th Book of the Season Award has winners in the adult's fiction section as well as children and adolescents' books (compilations), moreover a poetry book was chosen as a praiseworthy work.

According to the Book House Institute, a total of 5957 books were screened for the 20th Book of the Season Award. Compared to the previous edition, 393 books were increased to the 20th award.

The 20th Book of the Season Award will be held on June 19 in Sanandaj. Following the 19th edition which was held in Shiraz, this is the 2nd edition which will be held in a city other than Tehran.

The book of the Season Award is held in order to support top books and authors as well as encouraging writers, translators and editors, promoting the Islamic society's knowledge and culture and developing the culture of reading.
