Number of Iranian smart schools to double

Information and technology expert at the education ministry said that 40% of Iranian schools will become smart in the current school year.
IBNA: As Majid Bayrami said, 20% of the schools were equipped with intranet facilities last year and 20% more will be done this year.
As he said, the project to link schools together and to the internet is a 5-year plan according to which 20% of schools are facilitated with modern communication and information gadgets every year.
As he said, the intranet will allow teachers and students to get in touch with many state and private corporations and organizations in the country which are approved by the education ministry like Tebyan cultural institute and Roshd Educational Publications.
He went on to say that the system is designed with utmost safety for students and would relieve parents of all concerns about the content of the pages they children may log on to.
He further added that the new systems will allow teachers to use IT-based materials besides their customary teaching methods.
