In the unveiling ceremony of "the Effects of Iran Today's Political Literature" Mohammad Reza Sarshar said: during the past few years, Revolution Story festival has been held that resulted in writing stories which are not so astonishing, but are good; and in the long time, after hundreds stories are written in this field, we will witness a good and lasting book.
IBNA: The unveiling ceremony of the book "The Effects of Iran Today's Political Literature" held on Sunday, May 6, 2012, with the author "Mohammad Reza Sarshar" and "Akbar Ashrafi", research deputy of the Islamic Revolution Documents Center at the Center's publication Pavilion. This work has been delivered to 25th TIBF by the Cultural and Publication Institute of Islamic Revolution Documents Center.

Sarshar defined the work as a collection of his criticism on different stories, during the past many years that is now compiled in the form of a collection and published under the title of "The Effects of Iran Today's Political Literature". He added: this work is indeed a number of incurred criticisms on some of the stories written or translated after Islamic Revolution in Iran. These stories were not selected unreasonably; rather some of them were best sellers or awarded different literary prizes by experts or had implied contents otherwise.

In response to the question that 'why the book is entitled "the Effects of Iran Today's Political Literature" ' he answered: When a book is written in the form of a work collection, it is usually entitled based on its most important part. Among the stories criticism worked in this book the political part was the most prominent one, hence this title was chosen for it.

About the political stories which have composed a significant part of the book, Sarshar explained: the most important political stories criticized in this book are the following novels: "Wandering Island";" Wanderer Cameleer";" Grey paradise" and "A city died under the Cedar tree".

In response to the question "how he sees the political literature in Iran?" he said: there is one point in the world that is: no social action is non-political. Even those who take an opposing flag are relying yet on a different political aspect.

Sarshar continued: the first edition of the book "Wandering Island" by Simin Daneshvar was published with great circulation. This book was a massive work which was criticized strongly by the leftist critics, but its rest published under the title of" Wanderer Cameleer" was criticized by religious ones.

He added: the book "Grey paradise" by Mohajerani has invaded the country's circumstances in the form of a symbolic story; while, the book "A city died under the Cedar tree" although was known as the praised work, tried just to review the post-revolution circumstances of this country.

Pointing out to the fact that in the field of Sacred Defense we have dozens of global works, but there are lesser published works written in the field of Islamic Revolution; Sarshar said: due to the short time interval between advent of Islamic Revolution and the eight years of Sacred Defense, and also, the lack of writhers in the early years of Revolution, all led the authors- who had any chance to write a story- to get involved in telling Sacred Defense stories on the subject of life and death common those days. This placed Sacred Defense Literature in preference and pushed the stories of Revolution to the margin.

He continued: on the other hand, the number of entities that encourage authors to write Revolution based stories is lesser than those which work in the field of Sacred Defense Literature. Moreover, today, those individuals who have begun to write have not seen the Revolution, but they are still facing the war consequences in the society. In writing about Revolution Model is very important. In the field of Sacred Defense we have reached a literary form, while in the Revolution literature we didn't yet.

Sarshar ended his words saying: during the past few years, Revolution Story festival has been held by Hozeh-ye- Honari that resulted in writing not so astonishing stories, but they are good; and in the long time, after hundreds stories are written in this field, we will have a good and lasting work in this regard.
