Astan Quds buys millions-worth Arabic volumes
Astan Quds library has purchased as much as 135 million Rials worth Persian and Arabic books from the 2nd Seminary Book Fair. IBNA: According to the public relations and international affairs office of the organization of Astan Quds Razavi Libraries, Museums and Archives Center in Mashad, Isa Akhtari Tousi, head of the librarianship department of the organization, said the exhibition was held in the presence of Iranian, Iraqi, Lebanese, etc as exhibitors last month in the city of Qom for 9 days showcasing invaluable Persian and Arabic resources with attractive prices.
The resources included various seminary subjects including Islamic sciences, Quran, Hadith, fiqh, principles, jurisprudence, philosophy, Islamic instructions, Islamic economy, history of Shi'ism, etc., he added.
Many publishing companies from different countries ran stalls at the fair. As he said, Astan Quds purchased 631 Persian and Arabic book titles in 1,174 volumes.
After cataloguing and other preparation procedures, the volumes will be distributed among the organization's library centers. Id : 129013 |
