"Encyclopedia of Iranian plays" hits book markets

"Encyclopedia of Iranian plays" a book by Yadullah Agha-abbasi has been released in Iran. The book holds issues related to Iranian drama and according to the author it is the first related book released in the field.
IBNA: Agha-abbasi told IBNA that the "Encyclopedia of Iranian plays" holds three sections including "The research dictionary of Iranian plays", "Theoretical analyses of Iranian drama" and "Dictionary; expressions of Iranian plays". The first section introduces all forms of Iranian drama.
He added:" The 2nd chapter is about the structures of Iranian plays and related issues. It mostly holds my own compiled articles. The 3rd section also contains all the expressions of Iranian plays which is indeed a concise dictionary."
Compiling the book toke some 6 years and includes assessments of all sources which has been authored and printed on Iranian drama. Moreover a part of my studies include the works of other figures like Behram Beizaee, he noted.
Moreover he has rendered another book entitled "The history of Island's theater" and has compiled a play for children and adolescents which will be released by Qatreh.
"Encyclopedia of Iranian plays" has been released by Qatreh in 576 pages.
Agha-abbasi holds a theatre PhD and has directed and staged many plays so far.
He has translated works including Henrik Johan Ibsen's The Wild Duck, Büchner's Danton's Death, Athol Fugard's The Blood Knot, Jean Anouilh's Poor Bitos and Modern Theater by Eric Bentley.
