For the second time in Iran Bibbi Bokkens Magic Library hits bookshelves
Jostein Gaarder's "Bibbi Bokkens magiske bibliotek" (Bibbi Bokkens Magic Library) converted into Persian by Mahvash Khorramipour reached second issue. IBNA: Jostein Gaarder is a Norwegian intellectual and author of several novels, short stories and children's books. Gaarder often writes from the perspective of children, exploring their sense of wonder about the world. He often uses metafiction in his works, writing stories within stories.
Gaarder was born into a pedagogical family. His best known work is the novel "Sophie's World", subtitled A Novel about the History of Philosophy. This popular work has been translated into fifty-three languages; there are over thirty million copies in print.
"Bibbi Bokkens Magic Library" coauthored with Klaus Hagerup recounts a friendship developed through letters. Living in different cities, they writer their letters in a notebook and it is continuously exchanged between them. Meanwhile, the presence of a third character called Bibbi Bokkens changes the flow of the stories and the notebook becomes a book.
Aftaer acquaintance with Bibbi Bokkens, they discover his magic library and start a journey to the books, a journey that takes them a thousand years back in history.
The second issue of the book is identical with the first one except that the cover design has changed.
The second issue of "Bibbi Bokkens Magic Library" coauthored by Jostein Gaarder and Klaus Hagerup is converted into Persian by Mahvash Khorrami in 196 pages and published by Ketabsaraye Tandis.
