Culture Minister meets his Turkish Counterpart
Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Dr Mohammad Husseini met with his Turkish counterpart Ertuğrul Günay. In the meeting he marked the long-lived relations between the two countries. IBNA: He expressed hope that Iran-Turkey cultural ties expand more than before.
According to the public relations ad international affairs department of the ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Husseini maintained that given the size of cultural commonalities between the two counties, it would be very natural to expect the expansion of relations. "Iran and Turkey enjoy numerous cultural and historical common grounds besides believing in similar religious beliefs."
He underlined the anniversary of the victory of Iran's Islamic revolution and the emergence of the Fajr Decade and stated every year many artistic groups visit Iran during the period from Turkey and are active in the programs arranged to celebrate the anniversary.
He further called on expansion of cultural ties between the two countries with regard to the size of the common grounds of their nations.
He went on to say that in the past some 11 Persian language chairs in Turkish universities were active which are only 3 now and noted that since 2002, a Turkish language chair has been operating at Alammeh Tabatabaei University in Iran. Id : 62213 |
