Charter of Quranic activities heralds new Quranic era
In his address at the opening ceremony of the 20th International Quran Exhibition, Hamid Mohammadi, head of the event, stated that the charter of Quranic activities is harbinger of a new era in religious activities. IBNA: He praised the approval of the charter of Quranic activities in the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and said it heralds the emergence of auspicious events in the country. He also highlighted the Supreme Leader’s expectations to train 10 million Quran memorizers and said it would be possible given the 10th administration’s competency.
He further elaborated on the charter saying, “Organization, acculturation and management of Quranic activities are the three dimensions of the charter; all of the country’s institutions are doing their best to reach the heights of the charter and the Islamic Republic of Iran would illuminate the world through the charter.”
Elsewhere in his address, Mohammadi asserted that beside its physical visitors, the fair will have virtual visitors from around the globe through the internet and the facilities provided by the national media.
He went on to say that the fair has 40 different sections with 10 new sections like the New View, Islamic Converts, National Production through Quran and Hadith, the Quranic Resurrection, Fake Mysticism and Islamic Awakening.
Mohammadi also added that on the sidelines of the exhibition over 500 Quranic assemblies will be held in the presence of over 600 members of scientific boards of universities. Moreover, as much as 1,000 hours of TV programs will be broadcast on Iran’s TV during the fair.
Some 100 Iranian and 300 foreign exhibitors have attended the fair and have presented their latest Quranic products at the fair. Exhibitors from Egypt, Iraq and Lebanon are attending the fair for the first time.
A sideline festival called the Nahjolbalagheh Festival will also be held during the fair with 50 state and 100 private institutes.
He further added that exhibitors from 50 countries have put their products at the international section of the fair. A new section called Quran and International Culture has been established beside the international section of the fair.
Mohammadi explained that the Islamic Awakening section has two parts and a special section on Palestine is mounted this year.
Various arts sections including calligraphy, graphics, dramatic arts and stage drama are also held at the exhibition, added Mohammadi. The latest Quranic publications will also be unveiled during the fair.
