59th Philosophy Book of the Month released
The latest philosophy book of the month (special issue of July) featuring articles on Heraclitus, Ghazzali, and Fakhr Razi was released.
IBNA: You can read in the editorial 'Philosophical Stance' that "after the triumph of the Islamic Revolution headed by a great figure as leader who had comprehensive knowledge of theology and was one of his contemporary mystics it was highly expected to witness quick growth of philosophical sciences in the light of fundamental sociopolitical alterations; however all expectations gradually diminished."
"There are three reasons behind this recession: lack of interested of the philosophical society in criticism and problem-based research, fanaticism and insistence on the preservation of previous ideas, and loss of the self when facing western philosophies. On the other hand we are also facing anti-philosophical movements of a few people without any scientific bases that by means of populism and triggering of the mass are attempting to seclude Islamic philosophers."
