Screening of 5,957 book titles for the 20th Book of the Season Award has finished. The number is 393 titles more than the previous edition of the award.

IBNA: According to the public relations office of the Book House Institute, as many as 228 works made way to the second phase of assessments while 265 works were screened in the second phase for the previous edition.

The screened titles encompass 70 titles on generalities, 387 philosophy and psychology titles, 1025 religious titles, 281 arts titles, 887 literary titles, 491 titles on geography and history, and 528 children’s titles.

The closing ceremony of the 20th Book of the Season award will be held on June 19, 2012 in the city of Sanandaj, Kurdistan Province. All the works published during winter in Iran are considered by the panel of judges.
