'Squabbles with Saadi in Time of Modernity' is penned by Kamyar Abedi and published by Daneshnameh Fars Press in cooperation with Saadi Studies Center. The book contains all debates over Saadi made since the 19th century. 'Squabbles with Saadi in Time of Modernity' is organized in two parts: 'Analyses' and 'Researches'.
The first part offers an analysis of the works of Saadi, his cultural and ideological position and his influence over later eras. This part is in itself divided into four chapters: "Few points on the master as a symbol of proficiency of Persian language", "References to the authenticity and impact of Saadi on future eras", "A glimpse on Saadi School poets and writers in time of modernity" and "Debates over Saadi: agreement or contention?" This is followed with an analysis of the opinions of Saadi critics (including his absolute admirers, and relative and conditional critics) and some reasons of his disfavor by these figures.
The second part, "Researches", is based on a historical view of the literary content produced by him. Therefore all discussions put here are to supplement the historical approach.
