"History of Ancient Art", a book by Yaghob Ajand is to be released by SAMT publications. The book's readers, for the first time, will read the history of ancient art through the perspective of an Iranian researcher.

IBNA: Yaghob Ajand said:" "History of Ancient Art" will be released by SAMT publication is the coming month. In order to write the book, I firstly started from Iran's art and then researched about other regions including Mesopotamia, ancient Rome, Greece and Egypt until the Mediaeval."

My book is unique he added and said:" Previous similar books were written by the westerns holding a Greek point of view while my book holds an Iranian perspective."

He went on to say that for penning the book he went through all credible Iranian and foreign sources and added:" The book's compilation concluded some three years ago however its print was delayed since I was sensitive about its print particularly about the photos."

Yaghob Ajand holds a PhD in history. He has so far written and translated several books in the field of Islam and Iran's civilization, art and culture.
