Persian Gulf during Eight Years of Holy Defense

A juridical survey of maritime events during Iraq's imposed war against is gathered up in a book titled "Persian Gulf during Eight Years of Holy Defense" and will be published by SAHADAM.
IBNA: Mohammadreza Nikrahi, author of the book, said: "The book makes a survey of successful maritime operations like Pearl (Morvarid, 1981) and then focuses on aboveboard maritime war of the American Army against Iran.
He added: "In April 1988, the US invaded oil platforms of Resalat, Reshadat, Salamn and Nasr that were located in the Strait of Hormoz that was followed with Iran's juridical measures against this trespass.
Nikrahi continued: "Attack on the Airbus plane of Iran full of passengers in July 1988 was another inhumane act against Iran where the US revealed its direct role in Iraq's imposed war on Iran."
Referring to Iran's juridical complaint against this attack, Nikrahi said: "All these measures and consequent events are reflected in the book 'Persian Gulf during Eight Years of Holy Defense'."
The book is a result of a number of interviews with veteran navy commanders of Islamic Republic of Iran and documents kept at the UN."
Book on "Persian Gulf during Eight Years of Holy Defense" will be published by the Organization for Preservation of Holy Defense Values and Relics of the Army (SAHADAM).
