"Presentation of prominent Sacred Defense works to Persian-speaking countries"

Sacred Defense publishers met with head of Basij Organization Commander Mohammad Reza Naghdi Tuesday evening (December 13, 2011).
IBNA: The meeting was held in the presence of Sacred Defense publishers, head of the Basij Mostazafin (Mobilization of the Oppressed) organization Commander Mohammad Reza Naghdi, head of the Sacred Defense Works and Values Preservation Organization Commander Ahmad Haghtalab, and over 30 publishers of Sacred Defense works.
In his opening speech, Haghtalab stated that the Sacred Defense Works and Values Preservation Organization has managed to hold two national Sacred Defense book fairs in the cities of Isfahan and Mashad with support from the cultural department of the Guidance Ministry. Moreover, the organization held as many as 1000 Sacred Defense book fairs nationwide in the last two years, which are great measures to disseminate Sacred Defense books in the society.
"A lot has been done with regards to Sacred Defense books, but there still remains a lot to do, and the youths need to learn more about the Sacred Defense event," he added.
Manager of one of attending publishers also addressed the guests in the meeting stating that distribution is the major issue Sacred Defense publishers are concerned with in fulfillment of their duties.
As Mohsen Mehrabadi stated, mechanism should be devised prevent any economic losses for publishers in this regard and prevent them from leaving their work. "Right now the distribution system is failing in the country and needs to be upgraded."
He went on to say that permanent showcase of Sacred Defense books is an immediate problem of publishers where they can put their latest works on public display.
Also, Ahmad Ataei, manager of Ghadr Velayat publication center, demanded a Jihadist movement in the publication industry as called for by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei. "Books should be among household products; to this end, provincial book fairs should be held during the year to increase the number of book copies in every print-run," he argued.
Furthermore, a number of the managers of other Sacred Defense publication center aired their concerns about their activities.
After the publishers, head of the Basij Mostazafin Organization, Commander Naghdi, said Sacred Defense publishers should be taken more seriously so that they will heighten the quality of their products in return. Besides, their prominent works can be transferred to other Persian-speaking countries or rendered into different languages like English, Arabic and Turkish so that people of other countries will enjoy reading them.
