National Library and Archives of Iran will host the first session of "National web archive" today, September 8.

IBNA: The session will be held in order to assess the necessities and solutions of creating web archives in the country and its importance in preserving cultural, scientific and thought\'s heritage. It will be attended by professors, officials and experts of the filed of technology and archives.

The session will assess the importance of compiling Persian texts in websites as it will study about forming websites and other countries\' experiences.

The session is slated to run at 11am in NLAI.

Such web archives have been formed a decade ago and according to accomplished researches by NLAI, online references for books, journals and scientific articles suffer lack of stability.
