During the review session of the book, “I have become an archaeologist too", the cultural deputy of Book City said: "Anthropologically, Ghirshman Tanya’s book is significant .In my opinion, her book is even of importance to literati, and can be used as a background or raw material for novels or scenario writing.

IBNA: The Book city weekly session was this week on “I have become an archaeologist too.” This book includes notes and memoirs of Tanya Ghirshman, Roman Ghirshman’s wife, the French archaeologist, in which she visualizes what had happened during her 35 years of exploring. 

The book was reviewed by Sadegh Malek Shamirzadi, Seyed Mohammad Beheshti, Seifollah Aminiyan and Ali Mirzaei in the Book City cultural center, on Tuesday afternoon, August 10, 2010. 

As it is realized through what the experts stated, this interesting and worth to read book is useful for students, researchers, and the professors of Archaeology, history, sociology and others who follow Iran’s the first part of solar 14th century movements. 

Ali Asghar Mohammad Khani, the cultural deputy of Book City, continued: "Tanya Ghirshman has been escorting and cooperating with her husband for 35 years (1932-1967). They have archaeologically been exploring Kashan, Susa, Iraq, Egypt and other places. 

He added: Tanya Ghirshman clarifies in her book that, how the events took place those years. No matter, how we disagree with her judgments about Iranian, because of its educational aspects, we have to pay attention to her book. 

Mohammad Khani, reminded: The book's translation is so fluent that the reader feels it is written by an Iranian author. Ali Mirzaei, the editor of the book, has also helped the readers to realize her gaffes by explaining clearly Ghirshmans’ mistakes in the footnotes.

He added: Tania’s book is anthropologically important as well. In my opinion, her book is even interesting to literati and can be used as a background in novels or scenario writing, for example the chapter in which Ghirshman wrote about “Quarantine in Baghdad”, and the scenes she has presented there. 

Book City cultural deputy reminded: "The book is very sweet and is also deservingly well-published, while the pictures added to the appendix are very suitable and interesting.
Moreover showing some pictures of Kashan historical buildings, the Director of Kashan Culture Foundation, Hossein Mahluji, said: "A background of about 7000 years was long enough for the non-beneficial Kashan foundation to do something to attract archaeologists, public media, the lovers and devotees of culture and cultural heritages." 

He added: "In 1993, the reconstruction of some parts of Saljoughid’s city battlement began and in 1994, some architectural remained belonging to Ghajar era in Kashan such as Soltan Amir Ahmad bath were rebuilt. At the same time, Abbasid Complex including embedded houses of Tabatabaeis, Ameries and abbassis were repaired. 

The manager of Kashan Culture Foundation reminded: "About 80% of the complex -on 25000 square meters infrastructure –is rebuilt. The place was used for landfill and storing scrap cars. We started to work, with a group of 1500 engineers, technicians and experts were working with us."

He added: "Another work of Kashan Cultural Foundation is mapping and cleaning of Raeis cave, in the vicinity of the Sasanid Chartaghi (penthouse) in Niasar village. This cave is 750 meter long. In1995, Kashan encyclopedia was also founded to compiling the history, architecture, geography, coins, dialects, reports of foreign tourists and dozens of other subjects. 

Finally, Ali Mirzaei, Negareh Aftab, the publishing director appreciated those who prepared and published the book “I have become an archaeologist too.” 

The author of” Economy and Democracy”(Essays on Society , Economy, development , management ) reminded: "Before being published , Malek Shamirzadi and Aminian did carefully read the book ,word after word and offered some notes about the content, given in footnotes." 

According to the author of "Culture, democracy, and development”, the book's translation took 2 months and 12 days and 13 months for it to be edited. Besides, it spent 2 months for getting official publishing permission from Guidance Ministry as well. 

Printing and binding it lasted two and a half months. Some of the book forms, especially, colored ones, were reprinted and reformed several times until they were confirmed.
“I have been an archaeologist too " the readable and attractive memories of Tanya Ghirshman, a prominent French archaeologist, Roman Ghirshman's wife ,is a description of everyday life events and work events Ghirshman and his colleagues during 35 years excavations in Iran. 

The book which is the translated by Deylamani Firoozeh is published with the assistance of the Institution of Kashan Cultural Foundation. It contains the memoirs of a French lady between 1936 up to1967. 

“I have been an archaeologist too” is full of awareness, necessary to get greater understanding of contemporary social history.

A full introduction by Hossein Mahluji (Director of Kashan Cultural Foundation) is added to the book. Firoozeh Deylamani, the Translator also gives some information about the work beside, a short speech of Krimmer Samuel, a professor in University of Pennsylvania as well. Krimmer talks about the unknown aspects of archeology along with the importance of Roman Ghirshman work .Tanya Ghirshman book values are also enumerated by him. 

Edition of the book is well done by Ali Mirzaei, (Director of Negareh Aftab publishing institute and Manager and Editor of the quarterly Journal of New Vision) and his colleagues Mahshid Jaafari and Abtin Golkar.
