Majlis library publications in 15 countries
As its first cooperative act with the ECO, Iran's Majlis Library has granted some 100 titles of its publications to 15 ECO member states. IBNA: According to the public relations office of the Islamic Assembly (Majlis) library, since its foundation back in 40 year ago, ECO members pledged to cooperate with the organization culturally and economically.
In the same line and contemporary with Salim Nisari's leadership of the organization, a list of Persian manuscripts by Ahmad Monzavi was provided which is considered as one of the best publications of Majlis so far.
In order to keep on cooperating with the organization, Majlis library has suggested that the list of manuscripts be translated into other languages and has donated some 100 titles of its publications to 15 countries.
The prefaces on most of the books stress the importance of the manuscripts. The library hopes to have taken the initial step to establish a common data bank of ECO member states.
Currently, each ECO member state has a different stand with regard to manuscripts and in Iran Agha Bozorgh listing contains titles of the manuscripts of Persian works.
Moreover, the library hopes to boost up its cooperation with ECO for the establishment of the image bank of manuscripts. Id : 58226 |
