Iranians to join David Baldacci’s 'Camel Club'
‘The Camel Club’ is the title of best-selling American novelist David Baldacci that accounts the heroic acts of a man who wants to reveal the reality of the White House to others. Zohreh Haghbin has translated the book into Persian.
IBNA: David Baldacci (born 1960) is a best-selling American novelist of Italian descent. Baldacci began writing stories as a child, when his mother gave him a notebook to record them. He wrote for more than two decades, penning short stories and later screenplays without much success. While practicing law, he turned to novel writing, taking three years to write ‘Absolute Power’. Published in 1996, it was an international best seller. He has since written 25 additional best-selling novels for adults as well as three novels for children.
‘The Camel Club’ was published in 2005 as the first volume of a series with the same title featuring political, murder and detective adventures side by side. It relates the life of Oliver Stone, a man without a past, who spends his days on strike in front of the White House.
‘The Camel Club’ will be the second David Baldacci novel to appear in Persian. Before this, Mahdi Gharachedaghi had translated his ‘Innocent’ into Persian.
‘The Camel Club’ is written by David Baldacci, translated into Persian by Zohreh Haghbin, and published by Vida Books in 464 pages.
