Middle East manuscript's committee to be established

Director of National Library and Archives of Iran announced the two new ratifications of Cultural Revolution's Council in the field of copyright and the establishment of Middle East manuscript's committee.
IBNA: According to the public relations department of National Library and Archives of Iran, during a session which was held on Monday, April 2, Ishagh Salahi talked about the two new ratifications of Cultural Revolution's Council in the field of copyright and Iran's centrality in the Middle East, in the field of documents and said the authors should hand over their book's CDs to the organization for the establishment of National Library's digital hall.
He added:" Cooperating with UNESCO, Iran will launch a manuscript's committee in the region and the National Library will lead it."
Pointing out to the statements of the Supreme Leader during the New Iranian Year he added:" Economical Jihad was an introduction for supporting national production and Iranian capital."
Moreover he added that the organization's strategic program in 1390(2011-2012) was a significant plan. However the establishment of strategic thinking was more important that the strategic plan.
In other news he said that all of the organization's handwritten books will be scanned during the next 5 months and their pictures will be presented in the organization's website. Then our next priority will be scanning lithographs and ordinary books.
Furthermore he talked about the organization's foreign trips saying that traveling to Tunisia, Tanzania, Georgia, Afghanistan and India, civilization, history, language and culture commonalities were considered.
He went on to say that an index of the organization's manuscripts is being compiled currently in 8 volumes. Moreover the index of the country's manuscripts is being prepared in 40 volumes; around 10 of them will be unveiled during Tehran International Book Fair.
He added:" Iran has recently applied for registration of a collection of historical maps and a reference book on traditional Iranian medicine on UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register list.
Documents detailing “Maps from the Qajar Period” and “The Reserve of the Khwarizmshah Dynasty” (“Zakhire-ye Kharazmshahi”) were sent to UNESCO’s International Advisory Committee last week.
He finally added:" May 8 is the National Day of Documents and Written Heritage in which a national fair and conference will be held."
