  “Life x 3” play by Yasmina Reza criticized

“Life X 3”play written by Yasmina Reza and translated by Fattah Mohammadi, is on the stage by direction of Mohammad Hossein Mirbaba. The play was criticized and reviewed by National Kanoon of Iran Theater Criticizers on Thursday.
IBNA: According to the spokesman of National Kanoon of Iran Theater Criticizers, the meeting was held by presence of Hamid Kaka Soltani, Behzad Sedighi, Mehrdad Abrovan, director of the play and executive group of the play in the Mehrab Hall.” 

Seiavosh Khadem Hosseini, Afsaneh Shafie, Shahin Chegini and Faranak Farhang are actors and actresses of the play which will be on the stage till 2 August. 

Yasmina Reza (born 1 May 1959 or 1960 in Paris) is a French playwright, actress, novelist and screenwriter. Her father is Iranian and her mother is Hungarian. 

In 1987 she wrote Conversations after a Burial, which won the Molière Award, the French equivalent of the Laurence Olivier Award or the Tony Award, for Best Author. Following this, she translated Kafka's "The Metamorphosis" for Roman Polanski and was nominated for a Molière Award for Best Translation. 

Her second play, Winter Crossing, won the 1990 Molière Award for Best Fringe Production, and her next play The Unexpected Man, enjoyed successful productions in England, France, Scandinavia, Germany and New York. 

In 1995, 'Art' premiered in Paris and went on to win the Molière Award for Best Author. Since then it has been produced worldwide and translated and performed in over 30 languages. 

Reza in “life X 3”, like her other works, investigates complicated issues, social and psychic phenomena with simple language and shows them barely. 

Human relations which always accompany dramatic tensions are her distress in her works. Most personalities of her works are worried about themselves. She is known one of the successful play writers of 20th century in France. 

The God of Carnage is her last work published in 2007. Her other works which have been translated in Persian and published are “disappointment”, “a deep grief”, “art”, “Desolation” and “three versions of life”.
