Secretary of 13th Salam Book Festival says that the received books will be judged from next week adding that publishers, authors and illustrators could send their works to the festival's secretariat till September 11. The festival will wrap up in late autumn.

IBNA: Mahmoud Pour vahab said:" The call of presenting works to the 13th Salam Book Festival has been issued to publishers, authors and illustrators. Some works have been sent while some others are sending their works."

He added:" Publications including Ofogh, Qadyani, Madreseh and Institute for the Intellectual development of children and young adults (Kanoon) will send their works by end of the week."

As sending the call to authors was a new activity he went on to say that letters have been sent to many authors as they were invited through the association of children and teenagers authors to attend the festival.

Talking about the presents, the secretary of 13th Salam Book Festival said:" Although the prices of gold coins have hiked but we are trying to present the same last year's gifts to children book's writers and translators."

He underlined:" Certainly holding a festival in the field of children and teenagers is a positive movement, we ought to respect the festival's selected individuals and appreciate their attempts which is usually accomplished by presenting gold coins."

He added that last year more than 100 coins were donated to 30 chosen figures.

Pour vahab said that the festival's judges will assess the works in sections including poetry, fiction, re-creating, religion, myths (compilation and translation) as well as illustration."

Every year magazines of "Poupak" and "Salam Bacheha" hold the festival in order to chose the best children and teenager's books.

He told IBNA that the 13th Salam Book Festival's closing ceremony will be held late autumn.
