The second volume of the collection is about Abbas Mousawi, the former secretary general of Hezbollah in Lebanon.

The volume provides a brief review of Mousawi’s life. The works is arranged in three volumes: The beginning of Way, How Seyyid Abbas became Popular, and Seyyed Abbas Mousawi and Resistance.

Returning to Iraq in 1973, the Islamic resistance, Mousawi’s family and the message of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei on the occasion of Mousawi’s martyrdom are some of the topics covered in the book.

According to the book, Seyyed Abbas Mousawi was born in Baalbek, Lebanon in 1952. His family was religious and rather poor. It was almost in those years that Seyyed Musa Sadr, on the recommendation of the Allameh Sharaffudin and other Jurisprudents immigrated from Iran to Lebanon. He started his extensive religious and cultural activities with the objective to improve people’s life in southern Lebanon. One of these activities was the establishment of a seminary school in the Sur city in southern Lebanon called the Institute of Islamic Studies. Seyyed Abbas’ parents, who were both the descendents of the Holy Prophet Mohammad, got acquainted with Seyyed Musa through Hashem Association. Seyyed Abbas, who was interested in Islamic studies, went to Sur seminary school to study in the field of Islamic sciences under the supervision of Mussa Sadr. Soon Seyyed Musa got to know that Abbas is an intelligent and wise boy and for this reason he taught him privately. His objective was to train a scholar who could both fight with Zionism and solve the problems of Islamic Ummah.

In 1991, Abbas was appointed as Hezbollah’s secretary general and soon after gained a lot of social, national, political, cultural and media breakthroughs.

In 1992, he was targeted by an Israeli rocket and was killed in a car with his wife and child, Hussein during his trip to Beirut.

The book is compiled by Fatemeh Moslehzadeh and is published by Alhoda International Publications.
