The Life and Activities of General Hussein Fardoust has been published by the Islamic Revolution Document Center. The work is compiled by Mostafa Javan.
IBNA: The center has released the title as one of the volumes of the Revolution Information series for the Youth.

Javan, in an interview with IBNA, stated that Hussein Fardoust was born in Tehran to a serviceman in 1917. His father was a gendarmerie officer which was appealing to Hussein since his very early years.

He entered the military elementary school in 1925 and Reza Shah picked him as a childhood friend for his son because of his ingenious in military lessons.

Later on, he entered the royal court as Mohammad Reza’s friend and classmate and became his best confidant. He accompanied Mohammad Reza during his studies in Switzerland in 1931 and returned home in 1936 to enter the military college as a military lecturer.

Javan added, as the axes entered Iran in 1941, Reza Shah went into exile and his son succeeded his throne and Fardoust became a key member in the committee Mohammad Reza Shah formed to assess the axes’ march into Iran’s soil.

After Reza Shah’s topple, Fardoust took up some roles to highlight Mohammad Reza’s power; he functioned as the liaison between the new Shah and the British officials to that effect. After Mohammad Reza’s coronation, Fardoust became his office chief and formed the Javidan Guards to secure the fledgling Iranian king and his throne.

Later in his interview, Javan elaborated on the content of his book and said, “Fardoust’ activities during the second Pahlavi king is the main theme of the book. Fardoust represented shah during the political events of Azerbaijan in 1941 and nationalization of oil industry, and after the 1953 Iranian coup d'état, in which Mohammad Reza’s government became military, Fardoust created the SAVAK (Iran’s Organization of Intelligence and National Security). He was then appointed as the vice president of the organization and passed various training courses in England and Palestine under the supervision of Zionists. After the Islamic Revolution, he took a secret abode in Iran for five years before he was captured by forces of the Islamic government of the country.

He also wrote two books during his captivity about the rise and fall of the Pahlavi regime.

Javan explained that no specific books were ever written about Fardoust and this would be the first one of its kind in Iran about Fardoust.
