400,000 visit TIBF every day; Dorri
Bahman Dorri, Cultural Deputy of Guidance Ministry and head of the 25th Tehran International Book Fair, said that almost 1.6 million visited the fair in its first 4 days. IBNA: He mentioned the leader’s 3-hour visit from the book fair and stated that the leader emphasized the translation of exquisite Persian works into other languages.
Dorri made his comments for a number of reporters from different media.
He went on to say that no stalls have been shut down for violation of the fair’s regulations. “By contrast, fewer numbers of misdeeds have been reported during the current edition of the fair. It takes an exhibitor four steps to be expelled from the fair: oral warning, written warning, banning their sale and shutting down their stall.”
He went on to say that as much as 9 billion Tomans ($7m) have been granted to university students during the book fair.
He further added that numbers indicated that over 1.6m visited the book fair in its first 4 days which meant 400,000 visit the fair every day on average.
The 25th Tehran International Book Fair is being held at Tehran's Grand Imam Khomeini Prayer Ground and will run through May 12, 2012. Id : 136833 |
