Army’s library management system unveiled

On May 5, 2012, a new electronic library management system for the army of the Islamic Republic of Iran was unveiled.

IBNA: According to the public relations department of the army, the system provides an integrated management facility for all the 370 libraries of the army all around the country.

The ceremony was held in the presence of Hujatoleslam Mohammad Ali Ale Hashem, head of the army’s Belief-Politics Organization, and a number of military officials.

In his speech, Hujatoleslam Mohammad Reza Vahedi, cultural deputy of the organization, stated that the system is devised to address the need of over 370 libraries of the army for management of data and exchange of information.

He went on to say that working on the system began two years ago with Rozaneh Shargh company which finished with very reasonable expenses.

As he said, some of features of the system are incorporated management of all army libraries, and online monitoring of all libraries and their clients.
