Based on Claire Jobert's book

  "Goodbye Old Raccoon" to be staged

The puppetry of "Adieu, vieux raton laveur" (Goodbye Old Raccoon), a story penned by French-born writer Claire Jobert, will be staged in the theatre center of Institute of Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA).
IBNA: According to the public relations department of the IIDCYA, the work will be performed by "Deratkht sib"(Apple tree) theatre group which will start on Tuesday, June 12.

The book tells the story of a 7th parrot chick who doesn’t like to be born and the old raccoon recounts the world's beauties for him and finally the chick pops out. But as the days pass the chick grows bigger and the raccoon grows older.

"Goodbye, Old Raccoon" is written by French-born writer Claire Jobert and published in Persian by Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCY).

Claire Jobert is a 49-year-old French writer and illustrator living in Iran. She has published 9 books in Iran and about 20 books and translations in France and Lebanon.

The drama's music is composed by Saeedeh Mirza-husseini and the puppets are made by Sima and Samaneh Mirza-husseini. Ali Tabe' has designed the decorations.
