28 Feb 2010 12:40
A treasury of exquisite manuscripts is placed at the general libraries administration of Isfahan.
IBNA: The books were donated by a number of cultural figures and writers in the province of Isfahan.

General Manager of the Isfahan Province Libraries said the above and added that the treasury is arranged in two sections of lithographic books and manuscripts including some 3000 books in Persian and Arabic.

The manuscripts include subjects like Fiqh, Quranic exegeses, religious prayers, philosophy, logic, genealogy, history, geography, poetry and other sciences which have been donated by book and culture lovers in recent years to the administration.

Gholam-Reza Yavari went on to name some of the donors like Akbar Masoud (Saremodoleh) with 500 donations in 1963 and Moslehodin Mahdavi, researcher and writer in Isfahan. Moreover, as he said, in 1970, late Seyyed Mostafa Husseini and Dr Javad Maghsoud Hamedani donated as many as 705 manuscripts to the administration.

He noted one of the most exquisite manuscripts in the collection which is the old manuscript by Managheb ale Abitaleb.
