General manager of Culture and Islamic Guidance Administration of Qom Province has announced that the first Biennial Book of Mahdiism Conference will be held on June 28, 2012 parallel at Yavaran Mahdi Cultural Complex in Qom.

IBNA: According to the public relations office of the administration, Morteza Esmaeili Taba stated the above in a meeting with a number of reporters. “The conference is being held with the aim of introducing and praising the best works on Mahdiism published within the past decade,” he stated.

“Today, issues about the doom’s day and resurrection attract many youngsters and adolescents in the world,” he added. “By holding such conferences, we hope to enrich the contents of works on Mahdiism.”

He went on to say that many books have so far been identified to be screened by the panel of judges. Screenings will be done in two main parts: journals and books.

He further stated that the conference is arranged by the cultural department of the Guidance Ministry and various other institutions like Mahdiism Specialized Center and Ayandeh Roshan.
