Scientific secretary of the 15th Sacred Defense Book of the Year Award said the translated works on Sacred Defense will not be assessed for the award due their few number.

IBNA: The press conference of the 15th Sacred Defense Book of the Year was held on October 10, in the presence of a number of reporters, Hassan Rasouli Monfared, literature and publication deputy of the Sacred Defense Values Protection Foundation, and Mahmoud Reza Ekramifar, the award's scientific secretary.

In his opening speech, Rasouli said the 15th edition of the award was held differently from its previous editions, specifically in the screening part.

As he said, one of the changes of the 15th edition is that Dr Mahmud Reza Ekramifar was appointed as the award's scientific secretary.

He went on to say that the number of the books authored by female writers of Sacred Defense has increased.

He said the closing ceremony of the festival will be held next month at Tehran's Vahdat Hall.

So far, 434 book titles were screened in the panel of judges. The panel of screeners for Sacred Defense translations has been dissolved due to small number of the published works in the section.

No winners have been announced for the festival's sections but there will be first and second runners-up.
