Mohsen Hejri secretary of the Association of Writers for Children announced the new managerial team’s decision for launching a specific electronic library emphasizing that gathering research works on children’s literature will the elibrary’s priority.

IBNA: Following the new managerial team’s approval of the establishment of an electronic library, Mohsen Hejri said: “Although elibraries are not new even in Iran, launching an elibrary will be a step forward towards addressing the needs of children’s literature in Iran and we hope to solve administrative problems in the meantime.” 

He added: “Despite the growth of children’s literature in the last three decades in terms of quality and quantity, we cannot ignore the fact that research in children’s literature has not grown as quickly as publications and therefore the theoretical foundations of our children’s literature are remained unexplored; therefore, we are still facing the repetition of previous failures.” 

Hejri went on to stress that for the equipment of the electronic library the association members will be the primary sources, yet the aids of all other people interested in children’s literature are welcome.
