  92 history, geography books released

During February 26-March 3, Iranian publishers published 92 books titles of which 78 were compilations and 14 translations.
IBNA: During the period, publishers of history books released 92 history and geography books of which 78 were compilations and 14 were translations. Moreover 50 debut books and 42 re-prints were released. Averagely 2633 copies and 339 pages were printed.

Some of the published books were "Ancient Iranian", "Amir Kabir", "History of Persian Islamic period ", "The history of Iranian studies in France" and "The history of Greece civilization and culture".

"History of Persian Islamic period" by Abdulhussein Zarrinkoub was reprinted by Amir Kabir publication. The book was released in 1964 and Amir Kabir reprinted it several times.

Abdulhussein Zarrinkoub was a prominent scholar of Iranian literature, history of literature, Persian culture and history.

He was born on March 19, 1923 in Borujerd, Iran, received his PhD from Tehran University in 1955 under the supervision of Badiozzaman Forouzanfar, and held faculty positions at prestigious universities such as Oxford University, Sorbonne, and Princeton University, among many others.

Due to his pioneering works on Iranian literature, literary criticism and comparative literature, he is considered as the father of modern Persian literature.
