The closing ceremony of the 4th Festival of the Awaited Savior (Akharin Monji) was held with the attendance of Islamic Guidance and Culture Minister. During the ceremony a book entitled "The Awaited Savior" was unveiled as well.

IBNA: The 4th Festival of the Awaited Savior (Akharin Monji) concluded last night, July 8, in Tehran's Vahdat Hall. The ceremony, held by the Tehran's office of Islamic Guidance and Culture, was themed on poetry and fiction. During the ceremony "The Awaited Savior", holding the festival's selected works, was unveiled as well.

During the ceremony the Islamic Guidance and Culture Minister said that the festival was themed on short stories, poetry and literary pieces and added:" Iran is accustomed with literature and poetry. The imams also praised the truth and right through poetry."

Talking about the holy Quran's stories he added:" The stories are about the imams and teach us different lessons including resistance, strength as well as adherence to the truth and right. Nowadays we need such stories and lessons; accordingly Quranic adaptations should be written for the theatre, cinema and television."

He went on to say that Iranian series, which are produced in Iran according to Islamic narrations and Quranic verses, are welcomed by some Islamic countries as well.

The Islamic Guidance and Culture Minister added: "Some 350 verses of the holy Quran are about Imam Mahdi(AS). The Iranian artists can reflect the matter in international levels through paying more attention to the field of Mahdism, since other countries like to change the future according to their own wills."

He emphasized that the world's great powers try to introduce themselves as the world's savior and in order to fulfill the dream they introduce the Muslims as rude people who threat the mankind. They present their thoughts and ideas as cultural works including PC games, stories, fictions and books. Accordingly we should enter the field as well and since our thoughts are in accordance with the essence they will indeed be received warmly.

In other news, the director of Tehran's office of Islamic Guidance and Culture delivered a speech saying the 4th Festival of the Awaited Savior (Akharin Monji) is themed on literature. The 4th edition's works were submitted to secretariat as poetries, short stories and literary pieces. Fortunately the festival was welcomed warmly. A total of 2480 works were submitted."

He said that regional countries as well as some other countries attended the festival; all of them believed in the Awaited Savior.
