  "Sweet Iranian stories" to be released

Nine works of "Sweet Iranian stories" series, holding noted poet's stories and poems for children, will be released by Soureh Mehr publications.
IBNA: According to the public relations department of Soureh Mehr, the books will include the Bustan of Saadi, Masnavi e Ma'navi, Qabus- nama, Marzban-nama, Kelileh o Demneh, One thousand and one nights, the Golestan of Saadi, Haft Awrang (Seven Thrones) and Jawami ul-Hikayat which have been rewritten for children respectively by Sepideh Khalili, Hussein Fattahi, Majid Mola-mohammadi, Mohammad reza Shams, Mojgan Sheikhi, Zahra Heidari, Farhad Hassan-zadeh, Jafar Ebrahimi-shahed and Mehri Mahouti.

The project's supervisor Hussein Fattahi said that the collection is compiled for children to get familiar with distinguished Persian literary figures.

Every nation needs to communicate with its past including its cultural roots, he noted.

Talking about the 30-volume collection he added:" All the books have been rewritten for elementary school children."

The other volumes which are currently being rewritten include Jami's Baharestan, Tarikh-e Beyhaghi (History of Beyhaghi), Garshasb-nama, Ilahi-nama, Mantiqu't-Tayr (The conference of the birds), Mosibat-nama (Book of affliction), Siyasatnama(Book of Government), Fihi ma fihi, Samak 'Ayyar and Sindbadnama.
