Iran-France publishers to hold training courses
How to Manage Publication Institutes is the title of a training course that is planned to be held jointly by Iranian and French publishers in Tehran. IBNA: Head of the education commission of Tehran Publishers and Booksellers Union said preliminary talks for the courses have been undertaken with French union of publishers and the program is slated for the end of the present year in the Persian calendar.
Formerly, two other courses were held jointly with German booksellers' union which received wide welcome among Iranian print-house owners and booksellers, said Fathollah Foroughi in an interview with IBNA.
Besides holding short-term training courses for publisher and booksellers, the education commission of the union has committed itself to arrange job training programs for senior managers of publishing institutes, said Foroughi.
He went on to say that the short-term programs will be reformed and updated by the commission after its 24th edition which has just summed up.
Preparing educational programs in various levels for those involved in the print industry, and holding conferences with print activist of other countries are other measures taken by the commission.
He termed publication of books an economic-productive activity that results in cultural items. "Managers of publication institutes and cultural centers that are involved in supply of cultural items should enjoy the required managerial potency," he added.
He further lauded the significance of training publishers and booksellers and said it strengthens the publication output of the managers and their staff. "By improving their skills, managers will be better able to promote their jobs and managements," he argued. Id : 120695 |
