During a press conference held on the sidelines of Iran's 2nd Digital Printing Exhibition, secretary of the Association of digital print said:" Establishment of a print organization is essential for solving the field's problems and covering different related fields."

IBNA: The press conference of the Association of digital print was held on Thursday, June 21, in Tehran's Olympic hotel on the sidelines of Iran's 2nd Digital Printing Exhibition. It was attended by the association's members and the representatives of several print specialized media.

During the session, secretary of the Association of digital print Amir Hussein Qasemi talked about the center's activities saying that the association's official activities, which has a scientific nature, kicked off some 5 years ago. Print is the only similarity of digital print with other fields and while different guilds exist in the field, the digital print requires a special association due to its nature.

He added:" Compared with other print fields, digital print is unique in its production strategies and concepts. Mass production is the main priority of industrial printing, while in digital print works are released in limited editions."

He then talked about IT and its rapid progress saying that the industry's developments and the rapid progresses of communicative technologies say that the future of different industries is based on IT. The print industry, as a tool for conveying messages, has served communications and considering the massive transformations, the print industry has changes as well.

Talking about the guild of digital print, to be established by the association, he added: "The guild's members should reach 300 people while currently more than 200 hold the association's membership. Accordingly we decided to use a center as an operating union and the union of printing house owners has been considered."

Furthermore a Q & A session was held in which Qasemi said:" I should underline that the association isn’t a subcategory of any union."

Then Jalal Zokaee, manager of Iran's 2nd Digital Printing Exhibition said that the expo is a great opportunity for considering the new issue of digital print.
