Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad Husseini, said that holding of the 25th Tehran International Book Fair is a great and an example of cooperation, harmony and synergy among its officials and involved organizations.
IBNA: A ceremony was held on June 12, 2012 in the presence of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad Husseini, Bahman Dorri, Cultural Deputy of Guidance Ministry, and some representatives of the organizers of the 25th Tehran International Book Fair.

In his address the Iranian culture minister asserted that “In an Islamic society, folks should be keen on reading and thinking; “the more they read the better they think, speak and function.”

He further noted the efforts exerted by all the involved organizations in the 25th Tehran International Book Fair and said, “Without caring and assistance of these organizations, the fair would have never been held with such magnitude.”

He went on to say that other countries have held the TIBF as an example. “In my recent visit from China, the Chinese officials informed me that they intend to make use of our experiences in the book fair,” he added.

“If we mean to export the Islamic Revolution culture to other parts of the works, we need to stick to such cultural activities; in cultural grounds, we must pursue such effective cultural waves and the Tehran book fair is a great effort to that effect.”
