Lorca's anthology in Persian
Translated into Persian by Zahra Rabbani, anthology of Federico García Lorca's poems has been released in Iran. The bilingual (Spanish-Persian) work has been released by Golazin. IBNA: The bilingual anthology of Federico García Lorca's poems has been marketed in Iran in 256 pages holding the noted poet's biography.
The book is house to 70 poems, picked up by the Iranian translator, as well as an introduction about Lorca's life and works.
Previously Rabbani has told IBNA that most of the works were chosen from Sonetos del amor oscuro (Sonnets of Dark Love).
Image plays a key role in Lorca’s poetry. Without exaggeration, I believe that Lorca for Spain is like Nima Youshij for us, she added.
Federico del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús García Lorca was born in 1898. He was a Spanish poet, dramatist and theatre director. García Lorca achieved international recognition as poet and dramatist and as an emblematic member of the Generation of '27. He died in 1938 – probably been shot by anti-communist forces during the Spanish Civil War.
