Mohammad Allahyari Foumani: "Publishers will commit to preserve author's rights"
General Manager of Islamic Guidance and Culture Ministry's book office, Mohammad Allahyari Foumani said:" During the sessions held with the cultural publishing formations on preserving the rights of authors and publishers, the publishers committed to preserve the author's rights for the publishing license and if necessary present the work's contract to the Book office. IBNA: Mohammad Allahyari Foumani said: "Considering the problems which exist about the publishers and author's rights and as some authors lament that their rights are being ignored by the publishers, two sessions were held with the cultural deputy's representatives which were suggested by the cultural deputy in order to gain the opinions of cultural publishing formations.
He added:" During the sessions the representatives presented suggestions in order to reach an unique point to preserve the rights."
He went on to say that most probably one of the results is so; when a publisher sends a work to the book office to achieve a printing license, he should observe the author's right.
He finally added that during the next 2 sessions the issue will be finalized and the results will be announced. Id : 78628 |
