In Tehran International Book Fair Switzerland Pavilion focuses on "Max Frisch"
On the eve of centennial birth of "Max Frisch", Switzerland has attended this year in Tehran International Book Fair focusing on the Swiss famous author's works. IBNA: Considering the forereach of 25 May 2011, which coincided with the centennial birth year of "Max Frisch"; in the section related to Max Frisch a significant number of his works published by Sourkamp are seen. "Story Collection”, "Tagebuch 1946-1949", "Tagebuch 1966-1971", "Max Frisch. Entwürfe zu einem dritten Tagebuch", ”Antwort aus der Stille", "Der Mensch erscheint im Holozän (Man in the Holocene), and "Black Quadrangle” are some of them.
“Max Rudolf Frisch " was born in Zurich on 15 May 1911 and died in "Abenda" on 4 April 1991. He studied German Literature at the University of Zurich and wrote his first novel in 1934 entitled "Jürg Reinhart. Eine sommerliche Schicksalsfahrt". After the publication of his second novel "Antwort aus der Stille" (A Response from silence) decided to abandon writing and be an architect. But after receiving the award, "Conrad Ferdinand Meyer" he resumed writing again and in 1954 he released" Stiller” and in this way he became famous in the world of literature. Plays such as "Andorra" and novels "Homo Faber" and “Mein Name sei Gantenbein" (suppose my name is Gantenbein) are the other famous works of the author.
Another part of the Swiss Pavilion includes kid's books in which some works like "Swiss tales and legends" and "Travel to the Kugle Island” staged for children and adolescence ages have been offered.
In the Adult fiction section several works in French and German are seen. The novels written by Alex Capus, Armin Senser and Albert Cohen are other authors that their works presented in this section . Jacques Chessex, Agota Kristof, Eulalie Piccard, Philippe Monnier, Janine Massard, and Pascale Kramer are some of the French-language writers whose works are available in this section as well.
In the Architecture books section several titles in German and English-language catch eyes. Books such as "universal design", "Design Materials ", "Humboldt University of Berlin, Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm Center", "128 colors" and " In The Isfahan Garden; Islamic Architecture 16th - 18th B.C " published by "Werner Blaser" are among the works of this part.
This year works published by 15 Swiss publisher have been offered at 24th Tehran International Book Fair.
The 24th International Book Fair is held in Tehran at the Feast of Imam Khomeini (RA), up to May 24 .
