  IBBY Int'l Congress inaugurated

32nd International Congress of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) inaugurated today morning (September 8) while the Iranian representatives left Iran today.
IBNA: The biennial congress gathers active children and teenager's literature activists throughout the world.

Every two years one of the 77 members of IBBY, which is a non-profit organization, hosts the congress.

Reviewing received articles and posing different points of view, discussions, Seminars, workshop and holding different fairs are some activities of the 2010 Congress.

From Iran, Seyyed Ali Kashefi Khansari and Farzaneh Fakhrian have presented a joint article, they left for Santiago today morning.

Their visa was issued by Spain's Embassy in Iran with a delay and several other problems.

This year the congress is themed on "Literature of minority children".

Moreover the winners of 2010 Hans Christian Andersen award as well as Asahi award will be held on the sidelines.
