Book Browse Winter with a Taste of Cherry
Elham Fallah Reading a page of a book out of thousands and millions of pages is, for us, like looking through a window on brighter side of the world that is constantly calling us, tempting us to set on a journey with the frigate of a book for more and more adventures... It's a quarter past six and I'm looking through the kitchen window with a cup in my hand, when Sasan comes in. "Hi," he mutters slowly in a whispery manner that just I know that it means hello. "hi," I reply, loud and audible like a good fellow!
He picks the cup of tea I have poured for him up the table and stands by my side behind the window.
"What's there in the street that keep you staring at all day long?" he asks unexpectedly. Gulping his tea, a drop leaps into his throat and he coughs. He coughs wherever he is embarrassed. I am happy to see him embarrassed; it shows that he's afraid. He's afraid that I would say something menacing his life so that he would knock my head at the wall whenever he recalls the sentence.
Dr Safavi says, "you should help your spouse to seek the truth in you and appreciate what you are. Everything goes well if you decided to cheer up your life. All delusions will gradually disappear. I assure you, it's as simple as this."
"It's autumn and winter look so beautiful here," I reply. "Oh! You don't know what a view means then! Let me sign the Namak Abrud Towers contract, and I'll take you up there to see a real view," he says.
That's a hollow promise, I know. He knows this too. But by bringing up the false promise he appears to trying to forget last night's incident.
