IBNA: “Kafka and the Traveling Doll” is a book by Spanish author Jordi Sierra I Fabra which was first marketed in Iran some 4 years ago by Iranban publications. Now its 4th print has been jointly released by Qatreh and Iranban publications.
The book was written in 2006 in Spanish. It says that one year before his death, Franz Kafka saw in one of Berlin's park a girl who was crying because she had lost her doll. The writer calms her down by telling her that her doll had gone on a trip and that he, a doll postman, would take her a letter the next day. For three weeks, Kafka wrote a daily letter for the girl. This story has become a legend in literature.
Prolific author Jordi Sierra I Fabra was born in Barcelona, Spain in 1947. With over 200 titles published and seven million books sold, many of which are translated and published internationally, he is one of the most widely-read writers in Spain.
His popularity is demonstrated by his inclusion on the Ministry of Education's list as one of the 10 most read authors by students between 12 and 16 years of age.
