Iran's Best books of Summer

The closing ceremony of the 18th book of the season award will be held on Wednesday (December 25) in the presence of Bahman Dorri, Cultural Deputy of Guidance Ministry, at the Research Center of Culture, Arts and Architecture in Tehran.
IBNA: The ceremony will be held to praise 15 winners and 30 praiseworthy works published during summer in Iran. The works were picked from among 4,672 submitted works to the secretariat of the festival compared to 3,559 submitted for the former edition of the award.
Of the winners, 14 titles are compilations and the rest are translations. In addition, 20 authored and 9 translated works with an edited title will be praised.
In the course of screenings, 230 made way to the second round of assessments for the current award while only 204 titles in the former edition of the award and 187 titles in the 14th edition of the award were shortlisted by the panel of judges.
The panel of judges for the award considers works on philosophy, psychology, religion, sociology, language and literature, pure sciences, applied sciences, arts, history, geography, and children.
