Husseini: Books to be published about Shahriar
In a meeting with members of the policy-making council of the Shahriar International Poetry Congress, the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance said announced the publication of 12 titles on Master Shahriar. IBNA: According to the public relations, information and international affairs office of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the session was held in the presence of the members of the board of directors and policy-making council of the International Shahriar Poetry Congress, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad Husseini, and representatives of Azerbaijan Province on June 30, 2012.
In his keynote address, Husseini asserted that the congress is slated to be held for two days on September 17 and 18, 2012.
As he said the event is arranged by various universities and legal and real entities in the presence of Iranian and foreign guests at the locality of the National Library and Archives Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He went on to say that the books will be Shahriar’s Literature and Poetry Pieces on Leadership, Mohammad Hussein (Shahriar) and Social Poetry, an Account on Shahriar’s Literary Views, the Father of Contemporary Poetry and Literature in the World, Shahriar and the Homaye Rahmat, the Supreme Leader’s View on Master Shahriar, the Rhetoric in Shahriar’s Poetry, Shahriar’s Poetry Characteristics, Islam and Leadership in Shahriar’s Poetry, and Shahriar from a Global Point of View. All of the titles will be published parallel with the congress.
He went on to say that 160 articles have been submitted to the secretariat of the congress since the call for papers. Of the number, 120 papers are sent by Iranian researchers and the rest (40) are submitted by foreign researchers to the congress.
A member of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution further asserted that Shahriar has many prominent social pieces in which he raised social issues.
The Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad Husseini, highlighted the international recognition of poets like Hafiz, Sadi, Rumi, Attar and Khayyam and posited that the world is mostly unaware of Iran’s contemporary poets and the congress is aimed at introduction of Shahriar as an eminent Iranian poet in the contemporary era to the world.
He also accounted on the formation of the international Shahriar foundation and said that its charter should be prepared before it can be discussed in the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution. “The foundation should not be limited to research and study and artists from different fields should cooperate with the center.” Id : 141745 |
