In his speech at the meeting of culture ministry managers, Bahman Dorri, Cultural Deputy of Guidance Ministry, said the Book Week programs addressed as many as 20 million.

IBNA: According to the public relations office of the Cultural department of the Guidance Ministry, Bahman Dorri said 50,000 exhibitions in 50,000 schools of the country were held during the week besides numerous book fair, that were arranged in universities, barracks and penitentiaries of the country.

He also commented on the strong and weak points of the festival and added that programs should not be pursued hastily and the Book Week headquarters must begin its arrangements for the following edition of the week and instead of adding to the number of programs, it must be after heightening their quality.

He further marked the quality and quantity growth of this year's programs for the week and added "we held as many as 600 programs in Tehran and 800 others in other provinces of the country."

He went on to say that the 19th edition was held by the Supreme Leader's guidelines.

"Holding writers' gatherings, negotiating with active publishers, pursuing Islamic Awakening summits and unveiling several books were among the week's programs," he added.
