Bahman Dorri, head of the 25th Tehran International Book Fair, stated that the Imam Khomeini Project is the best place for the book fair.

IBNA: Bahman Dori, cultural deputy of Guidance Ministry, made the above comments on the sidelines of the TIBF's press conference held on April 23.

He stated that the Book Garden which was previously introduced as the fair's permanent venue would be good for specialized book occasions only and that the Imam Khomeini complex will be the best place for holding TIBF editions in the future.

He went on to say that many criteria need to be considered when choosing an area as the permanent place of the book fail which include accessibility of the area, the size and its facilities. "Right now the book garden needs a lot of modifications to become a proper place for TIBF which make it the same as Imam Khomeini's Prayer Ground," he asserted.

"Based on the talks between the ministers of culture and civil construction, Imam Khomeini complex will turn into the permanent place of the TIBF," he further added.

The 25th Tehran International Book Fair will be held at the city's Grand Imam Khomeini Prayer Grounds from May 2 to 12, 2012.
