29 Jun 2012 11:00
A member of the scientific board of Imam Khomeini Educational Institute has recently written a book with the title of Human in Supreme Political Philosophy which will presently be marketed.
IBNA: The book concentrates on Sadra’s philosophy as well as his political discussions.

In an interview with IBNA, the book’s writer said that Sadra’s discussions on humanities are the best means by which political issues and philosophical topics can be distinguished.

Hujatoleslam Mehdi Omidi said, “I have tried to present Sadra’s approach on human and all of his discussion about humans in the book because I think his views can be used for political discussions in many respects.”

He went on to say that even though Mulla Sadra lacked a comprehensive stance on political philosophy, when put together, his thinking can be sketched into an integrated principles of political philosophy.

The book will be published by the Research Center of Islamic Political Thinking.

Ṣadr ad-Dīn Muḥammad Shīrāzī also called Mulla Sadrā (c. 1572–1640) was a Iranian Shia Islamic philosopher, theologian and ‘Ālim who led the Iranian cultural renaissance in the 17th century. According to Oliver Leaman, Mulla Sadra is arguably the single most important and influential philosopher in the Muslim world in the last four hundred years.

Though not its founder, he is considered the master of the Illuminationist, or (Ishraghi or Ishraqi) school of Philosophy, a seminal figure who synthesized the many tracts of the Islamic Golden Age, and Andalusian, philosophies into what he called the Transcendent Theosophy or al-hikmah al-muta’liyah.
